A Romantic, but not too feminine, bedroom was created for a single woman who loves nature. We started with a wool rug that contained lots of colors to choose from to create our palette – dark green and golden yellow. We selected a romantic canopy bed with turned posts to provide a curvaceous element. An off-white linen duvet covers the bed, and matching unlined linen draperies frame the window when open, or filter the light when closed. Large-scale art with dark frames over the nightstands repeats the rhythm of the loden-green flanges of the gold hydrangea embroidered Euro-shams. A rich green lily pad installation floats above the headboard between wild wheat artwork. We finished the look with a dresser that has a mirrored front to bounce light around the room and a velvet chair to add warmth against the golden yellow accent wall.
